President of the New Jersey Policeman's Benevolent Association Patrick Colligan called in this morning to discuss the pension system, offering a government employee's perspective.

Colligan wanted to clarify that police and fireman have the Police and Fireman Retirement System that is generally funded by the local municipalities and more healthy than the state pension system.

"You have to keep your contribution commensurate with other states," said Colligan. Otherwise, teachers graduating college might choose other places to teach.
