NJ Man Dies After Being Pulled From Raritan River
Authorities say a northern New Jersey man died several hours after being pulled from the Raritan River.
Bridgewater police announced the death of 18-year-old Pedro Rosa on Monday.
Officers had gone to the river late Sunday afternoon after receiving a 911 call about a distressed swimmer. Once there, they saw Rosa's friends pulling him out of the water, just north of the Route 22 west bridge.
The Elizabeth man did not have a pulse at first, but authorities say he soon resumed breathing after CPR was performed. He was taken to a hospital where he died early Monday.
