Michael B. Olsen of West Deptford NJ pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child under 13 and second-degree sexual assault of another child under age 13, authorities said. According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the assaults took place in Mantua Township on multiple dates.

As part of a plea agreement, which was entered just as a trial was about to begin, Olsen admitted that the first degree aggravated assault charges involved "digital penetration of the victim." Authorities say he also acknowledged that the other charges involved "improper external touching."

The Prosecutor's Office will recommend a 10-year prison term for the first-degree charge when Olsen is sentenced, and an additional five years for the second degree offense. As part of the No Early Release Act, he will have to serve 85 percent of the sentence before being eligible for parole, authorities said. Following his release, Olsen will register under Megan's Law and will remain on parole for 15 years, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Olsen has been in jail since he was arrested on June 5, 2015. Authorities say he had previously posted $100,000 bail when charged in 2013 with the first-degree crimes.
