Newark School Bus Crash Sends Six Students to Hospital

Authorities say six special needs students were taken to the hospital as a precaution after a school bus and another vehicle collided in Newark.

City police tell The Star-Ledger that the crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of Chadwick Avenue. It was not clear where the bus was headed when the accident occurred.

Specific details on the injuries the students suffered were not disclosed, but police say the injuries are not considered serious.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
