Whether you call it a sub, a hoagie, or for some reason, a gyro, it is nice to see two New Jersey establishments crack the top 33 in Thrillist's list of the 33 best sandwich shops in America.

North Jersey and South Jersey are each represented. The two sandwich shops in question are the Millburn Deli in Millburn and Atlantic City's White House Sub Shop. You can check out the full list here.

The Millburn Deli is apparently best known for its triple decker Sloppy Joe, a delicacy I haven't had since the days of high school lunch. Roughly two hours south of Millburn is the AC fixture, The White House Sub Shop. According to Thrillist, they pride themselves on their Italian subs and cheesesteaks.

Do you think these two sandwich shops are deserving of this praise? Do you know of any sandwich shops that you think would be more deserving of an entry on this list? I personally think both Sorrento's Subs in Freehold and Nelly's near Monmouth University could hold their own on a nationwide list. Let us know @NJ1015 on Twitter, or in the comment section below.
