Natural Gas Blast Destroys Old Bridge Home
Police say workers repairing a sewer line cut a natural gas pipe by mistake, causing an explosion that destroyed a home in Old Bridge.
Police Capt. Arthur Carullo tells the Home News Tribune of East Brunswick workers rescued an 80-year-old resident before the home blew up Monday about a minute later.
Firefighters from five towns responded to the explosion according to WABC TV.
Carullo says no one was injured.
