Montclair Man Arrested in Murder of College Student

Authorities in northern New Jersey have arrested a Montclair man and charged him with the fatal shooting of a college student last weekend.

Ernest Williams is charged with murder, robbery and weapons offenses. Victim Brian Schiavetti was found at a residence in Montclair shot multiple times on Sunday. A preliminary investigation has concluded that the 21-year-old from Ridgefield, Conn., was shot during a robbery.

Schiavetti was a student at Villanova University.

Williams is being held on $750,000 bail.
