The mother and daughter police said were brutally murdered by Ramon Cadiz were planning on leaving the Raritan apartment where all three lived, friends told MyCentralJersey.com

According to the report, friends said 15-year-old Kimberly Streath mentioned she and her mom Sandra Giuseppe, 51, were considering a move but did not offer a reason for why they would leave the duplex on First Avenue. Giuseppe and Cadiz were dating, according to the newspaper.

According to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, Cadiz killed both with hammers and also used a rope on Giuseppe.

Police were asked to check on Streath after she had missed a few days of school, and discovered the decomposing bodies in different rooms in the house, authorities said.

In an affidavit quoted by NJ Advance Media, authorities alleged Cadiz had allegedly accused the mother and daughter of stealing money from him, leaving him behind on the rent.

Cadiz was found sleeping  in Giussepe's car parked on a dimly lit street in North Brunswick several hours later. He is being held on $2 million bail.

MyCentralJersey.com has also previously reported that Cadiz is already a convicted killer who was charged with murder in 1991 after he fatally stabbed a man at a bar in Bridgeton, and took a plea deal, pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter. He was sentenced to 25 years in July of 1992 but was released eight years later.

Further criminal convictions include forgery and child abuse.
