And you thought slugger Mike Trout was only good at baseball. Apparently, the NJ native and center-fielder for the LA Angels of Anaheim is also a bit of a weather fanatic.

On Saturday as a winter storm pummeled the Garden State, Trout called into the Weather Channel and updated Meteorologist Jim Cantore on the weather conditions in his hometown of Millville, Yahoo Sports reported.

Trout, who's gone so far as to hint about a possible career in meteorology after his baseball career is over, even hopped in his car and hit the road to take a video of the snowy South Jersey conditions, which he tweeted at Cantore.

During the call, Trout repeatedly told Cantore how he "loved" the snow and talking about the weather. His call, and subsequent tweets between himself and Cantore created a bit of a social media buzz as fans even began sending him tweets about the winter storm.
