Maybe the Movie ‘Idiocracy’ Was Set too Far Off in the Future? [VIDEO]

Jim uses the movie 'Idiocracy' as the perfect example for the handbasket we're heading for if we don't stop dumbing down people.  The latest case to prove Jim's point was the story of a mother who left her toddler alone in a smoke-filled apartment.

The one problem that Jim has with the movie is that maybe the movie was set too far off in the future. Maybe we've already arrived at a state of 'idiocracy' with parents like the mother above?
