Many NJ State Computer Systems Back Online After Alarm
Several New Jersey state government websites are back online after being shut down for nine hours.
Treasury Department spokesman Bill Quinn says the sites, along with many agency computer systems, were automatically shut down around 2 a.m. Friday when there was a fire alarm at a data processing center in West Trenton.
Quinn says the alarm was a false one, possibly caused by high temperatures.
Quinn says the sites, including those for the state lottery, Motor Vehicles Commission and governor's office, were back online around 11 a.m.
