MANCHESTER — Thanks to social media the Manchester Township Police Department was able to find an adventurous off-roader who tried to get into Manchester Township High School the hard way on Saturday.

On Tuesday night the police department announced on their Facebook page that 26-year-old Lakehurst resident Tyler Kowalksi had been arrested and charged with criminal mischief for the stunt that damaged playing fields and included Kowalski starring on the school's front door surveillance camera.

"This #Quadzilla went on a little #rampage on the Manchester Township High School grounds," Manchester Police wrote in an statement on the incident. "First, #Quadzilla did some donuts on his red and black quad and tore up the soccer fields and then decided to take down some of the fences to the JV softball fields."

The driver then "smiled" for the camera at the front entrance of the high school as he attempted to ram his way through the front doors, police said. The police said Kowalski was identified with the help of "#FacebookDetectives," and was located at his home where he was interviewed by police. He was released on a summons for a later court date.
