Man charged with woman’s murder in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY — A man was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend on Saturday.

Paul Kline, 49,  was charged with first degree murder in the death of Denise Webber, 54, after her body was found Saturday morning at the Wesley Inn in Ocean City, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor.

The two lived together at the rooming house, according to Taylor.

Taylor did not disclose a motive for the homicide.  An autopsy concluded the cause of death as strangulation.

Kline was also charged with second degree aggravated assault and third degree endangering an injured victim.

Kline's first court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m. via video.
