A lawyer for Gov. Chris Christie's campaign manager says the governor's report on the Fort Lee traffic scandal needs to be corrected.

Attorney Kevin Marino says Bill Stepien told Christie he had advance knowledge of a plan to realign traffic near the George Washington Bridge the day before Christie claimed no one close to him knew about the scheme. Marino says Christie's report must be changed to show Stepien was truthful with Christie.

The report's author, lawyer Randy Mastro, didn't return an email for comment Wednesday.

The governor cut ties with Stepien after personal communications were released by a legislative panel investigating the lane closings. The blocked lanes caused gridlock in Fort Lee last September to retaliate against the town's mayor.

Marino says Stepien was told the lanes were being realigned to study traffic.
