NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

We have kittens! All sizes, all colors and cute as a button. As a result of our TNR efforts we have been bringing in litters of kittens. The kittens receive vet care and socialization. They also get all necessary vaccinations and are spayed or neutered before they go home. The kittens are very playful and a joy to be around, always providing lots of smiles and laughs.

If you're interested in meeting our kittens or fostering/adopting any of them please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Carmen

Carmen, a Labrador retriever mix, was wandering around near Carmen's Auto Repair for a while and had to be caught in a dog trap. She was shy when she came to the shelter, but is doing great now. She is a sweet, young, friendly dog and will be a great companion. Carmen walks in a zigzag pattern on leash, but does not pull.

If you’re interested in learning more about Carmen or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Gypsy

Gypsy is a young American Staffordshire terrier mix.  She's very friendly to every one she meets and a very enthusiastic walker. She welcomes the attention showered on her and would make an excellent companion. She came in as a stray, but we know she was in a home based on her knowledge of some commands and the affection she showers on her handlers.

If you're interested in meeting Gypsy or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Lopa is a young beauty. She loves gentle head scratches. She would most likely prefer to be in a home where she is the only cat so she could have all your attention and snooze safely and peacefully.

To schedule a visit to meet Lopa, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. You can find more of EASEL’s adoptable cats and kittens here, or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
