See our 4 adoptable NJ pets of the week – Cricket, Annabelle, Mr. Wiggles and Frankie
NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.
Adopt Cricket
Cricket is a sweet and petite teenage cat. She loves attention and tries her best to engage everyone who comes into the Edison Animal Municipal Shelter. In fact, she likes to reach her paw out of her kennel bars to greet anyone that walks by. Cricket loves to play and cuddle. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative.

Adopt Mr. Wiggles
Mr. Wiggles was surrendered to the Ewing Animal Shelter by someone who took him from a breeder who wasn't able to care for him. Mr. Wiggles, a Pit Bull and Mastiff mix, is about 3 to 4 years old. He's very laid back, quiet, affectionate and friendly. He's very calm and isn't affected by much of anything, including other dogs. He truly has an exceptional temperament and would make a great companion. He's happy to do whatever you ask of him and he's very content to just go with the flow. Mr. Wiggles has quickly become a favorite at the shelter thanks to his awesome personality.

Adopt Annabelle
Introducing Annabelle at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter! She is a very pretty Pit Bull mix who is between 1 and 2 years old. Annabelle came to the shelter as a stray, but she seems to have been very well taken care of by her previous owner. She's as sweet as can be, has a lot of energy and loves to run, play and take walks. She loves to cuddle and leans in so that she can be as close as possible to her human companion. Sometimes Annabelle snuggles so much that she starts acting like a squiggly, wiggly puppy. Annabelle is known as an escape artist at the shelter, so she will need a perfectly fitted harness and collar. She will also need some training on how to properly walk on a leash.
Annabelle is the type of dog that will form a very tight bond with her owners and will be extremely loyal. She will make a wonderful companion and will probably follow her family around the house!

Adopt Frankie
Frankie is a black and white male kitten with tabby stripes. He is very energetic, playful and affectionate. He also has a very sweet disposition and loves to be held while checking out the world.
