Adopt Gucci

Gucci is pretty cat, with a stunning tortoiseshell coat currently up for adoption at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelther. She lost her first home when her beloved owner moved and then was sent to live with a relative who was not fond of cats. The volunteers and staff at the shelter are helping Gucci to trust again after being tossed around from owner to owner.

After she gains trust, Gucci will headbutt and purr to show her appreciation for getting affection. Gucci is housetrained, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative. What Gucci needs most of all is a devoted person to give her a forever home and just love her. If you would like to meet Gucci, please come to the Edison Animal Shelter’s PetSmart adoption center on Rt. 27 in Edison.

If you're interested in meeting Gucci or adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org or call us at 732-248-7278. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Mongo was brought into the Ewing Animal Shelter after being hit by a car. He's a young Pit Bull Terrier and Mastiff mix. He's very friendly and affectionate. Mongo eagerly greets new people and is friendly toward other dogs. Despite his accident, he enjoys car rides and isn't scared of vehicles.

Currently, Mongo is in weekly training sessions where he's learning commands and how to properly walk on a leash. He's a smart boy and is eager to please.

If you’re interested in learning more about Mongo or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Tiffany

Tiffany is a American Staffordshire Terrier at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves life and is a joy to be around. She puts our volunteers and shelter staff in a good mood on the gloomiest of days because of her wonderful personality. Quite simply, she's got the right amount of pep in her step. Tiffany is happiest when interacting with other dogs at the shelter. She can be cautious around strangers and will bark at them, but once she gets to know people, she realizes she has a friend and will shower them with affection. She enjoys being petted and is a big cuddlebug.

Tiffany would benefit from daily exercise, training, creative mental stimulation, play, long walks, love and relaxing time with her forever family. She does walk nicely on a leash and takes treats gently. She also knows some basic commands and is working on learning additional ones. Tiffany is house-trained, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

If you want to see Tiffany in action, please watch a video of her playing in the snow here and her playing with her shelter buddy Scooby here.

If you are interested in adopting Tiffany, it is best to come to the shelter on Wednesday night or Saturday afternoon and ask for Patty. If you're interested in meeting Tiffany or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org or call 732-248-7278. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

This beautiful cat's name is Bello. He had an exciting start to life, which started around Christmas Eve 2013 where he lived in a house with his family and another cat named Princess. In June 2015, his parents left him and Princess at the Ewing Animal Shelter due to allergies. Princess has since been adopted, and Bello is still waiting his turn.

He's very friendly and affectionate and is just looking for a home of his own. He's got a short coat so he won't shed too much and he's very healthy.

To schedule a visit to meet Bello, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. The Easel trailer and Ewing Animal Shelter are located at 2 Jake Garzio Drive in Ewing. Easel's cat and kitten trailer is open for adoptions Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m to 3 p.m. and Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can find more of EASEL’s adoptable cats and kittens here, or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
