This weekend, we will be hosting our annual Winter Wine Weekend with new wine releases, special platters just for the weekend, an acoustic guitarist playing tunes in our tasting room and a toasty bonfire to get rid of that winter chill! Speaking of wine releases, for the first time the 2014 vintage of Petit Verdot will be available for tasting and purchase. We will also be releasing one other wine to be determined! Admission to our Winter Wine Weekend is free. Wine tasting is optional at $5* for eight tastings and a souvenir glass to bring home. *Tasting is purchased same day. No need for advance reservation.

CAPE MAY COUNTY


AKC All breed dog show featuring Best of Breed Competition, Police K-9 Unit Demonstration, Obedience and Rally Trials, vendors and much more! Competitions begin at 8 am daily. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for Senior Citizens, children 12 and under $2.

Venture back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth at Discover the Dinosaurs UNLEASHED. Experience up-close encounters with a lifelike Stegosaurus, Velociraptor and the king T-Rex in this walk-thru exhibit. Beyond the exhibit, additional activities are available for kids of all ages including riding a dinosaur, themed inflatables, a dino dig, fossil panning, crafts and more. Wine & Cheese Weekend January 21 and 22, 2017 from Noon to 5 pm. Join us for a special wine and cheese pairing in our Tasting Room. We will be featuring an assortment of premium cheeses from Cabot Creamery that are complimentary with your purchase of a wine tasting. A regular wine is $7 per person over age 21. Cabot Creamery is a cooperative of over 1,200 New England Farm Families that make some of the best cheddar cheeses in the world.

MERCER COUNTY


Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. Our first Read and Explore program at 10 am and 1 pm, when we will read The Gingerbread Man and learn about how the gingerbread man comes from a farm. Then each child will decorate a big gingerbread man cookie to take home. Everyone is welcome. Please call to register. The fee is $7 per child.

Join us on the 3rd weekend of every month for a story and a craft activity. Story time is always at 2:00 pm in the Discovery Den on Saturday and Sunday. Stories relate to current exhibits and collections and are always entertaining. Crafts are simple and a great way to remember the fun you had at the Museum! January's book is "A Snowy Owl Story." Written especially for preschool age children, this is a story of conservation, habitat, migration and adaptation. After the story families can create a forest animal puppet show in Discovery Den and make an owl puppet to take home. Visit the owl on display in the Natural History Hall and learn more about owls that live in New Jersey.
