Around 30 hospitals, located in the Hudson Valley and across New York State, just received a "D" grade for patient safety.

Last week, the Leapfrog Group released its 2024 Hospital Safety Grades.

Grades are based on "how well" hospitals "prevent medical errors, accidents and infections."

The nonprofit assigns letter grades, “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F,” to nearly 3,000 general hospitals across the country.
