Rahway featured in Impractical Jokers season premiere

I have to fanboy out here on two levels. First of all, if you’re a fan of the long-running hidden camera prank show “Impractical Jokers” where lifelong friends try to humiliate each other rather than the unsuspecting public, welcome to the club. Maybe you’ve heard Murr’s appearances on our afternoon drive show. Great guy, great show.

Well tonight on TBS at 10pm is the season premier. News12 NJ is reporting that the very first segment of the season opener features a prank done in Rahway. That’s my hometown, and while I don’t know exactly where they shot it (God if it was shot in Rocky’s on Grand Avenue my life will be complete) or what the nature of the prank is, you can bet if it’s the first one of the season opener it has to be solid.

The city is excited about it and posted on their Facebook. “BIG NEWS, RAHWAY! We’re excited to announce that Rahway will be featured in the SEASON PREMIERE of Impractical Jokers! Even better - our segment was selected to open the entire season.”

How cool it will be for anyone of us from the 07065 to look for street signs we know or stores we’ve been in. I grew up mostly on Kline Place by the middle school there and my grandmother lived on W. Cherry Street. This should be a blast. Don’t miss it!
