More than 5,000 flights were cancelled Saturday and another 2,000 or so Sunday nationwide because of the blizzard slamming the mid-Atlantic states, according to FlightAware.com.

But you have to get out, you can. It'll just l cost you.

Small jet operator JetSmarter can get you out if you are a member of the jet-sharing service, which charges a fee of $9,000 per year, according to  NJ Advanced Media.  Members that need to fly to Miami and Los Angeles could fly as soon as Saturday night if the weather clears.

In total, airlines have cancelled 10,246 flights for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, according to FlightAware.

United Airlines said it will be start "very limited "operations on Sunday afternoon at Newark Liberty Airport and other New York City metro-area airports —

but will not fly in or out of any Washington area airports.
