Police are looking for the man they save robbed a LukOil gas station in North Arlington late Thursday.

According to police, at 9 p.m., officers responded to the station and learned a man had entered the office area, displayed a large metal object of some kind, and pushed and threatened the station attendant while demanding money.

The employee turned over several hundred dollars in cash, and the man fled the scene, North on Ridge Road toward Albert Street, where he entered a two-door vehicle, police said. The vehicle's license plate began with NFD, and the vehicle fled West on Albert Street, police said.

The man is described as black with dark skin, between 6 feet, 2 inches and 6 feet, 4 inches in height. Police say he has a thin build, is in his 30s, and was wearing a black North Face skull cap, a black vest with a hood, a grey sweater, black North Face gloves, black sweat pants, and grey/white sneakers.
