ELIZABETH — The family of a 15-year-old Elizabeth High School student is continuing to search for the teen and say he hasn't been seen since Saturday afternoon.

Sebastian Cardona left his Elizabeth home around 1:45 p.m. Saturday on his black and red bicycle. He hasn't returned and calls to his cell phone have gone to voicemail, according to his family.

Jacque Reyes, a friend of the Cardona family, said the teen has been spotted a few times since his disappearance. She said the family was told earlier today that he was in Manhattan, then later on Sunday he was believed to be in the Roselle/Roselle Park area of Union County.

According to Missing in America, an organization dedicated to finding missing people, Cardona may have also attended a varsity soccer game in Elizabeth at some point on Saturday.

The teen is described as being thin, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with blond hair, blue eyes and glasses. He is of Colombian descent and according to Reyes, he speaks both English and Spanish.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue/gray shirt with a gray stripe and a pocket over the left chest. He was also wearing a dark-colored Rutger's baseball cap, turned backward.

Reyes said the family believes he may be with another friend around the same age. She said the family has contacted the Elizabeth Police Department. As of 10 p.m. Sunday, Cardona still hadn't been located.

Elizabeth Police could not immediately be reached Sunday regarding the status of an investigation. The family is asking anyone with information to contact the Elizabeth police Department at 908-558-2000.
