Frechette Scholarship Fund Created
On September 5, Kevin Frechette passed away at the too-young age of 52. He was a longtime Republican legislative aide who became one of New Jersey’s top public relations executives. Kevin left behind his only son Kyle Frechette, who is a Junior at Ramapo College.
Today, State Senator Jennifer Beck announced the creation of the ‘Frechette Scholarship Fund’ to help pay for Kyle’s tuition, room and board.
In a letter to Kevin’s friends and supporters, Beck writes, “I am sure many of you had the chance to get to know Kevin -- kind, witty, incredibly funny, ridiculously generous and very, very proud. Kevin was the kind of person who never asked for help, even when he truly needed it. I am therefore asking for your help for his son Kyle, who still has two years of college ahead. Thank you for your consideration. Kevin was such a good man and I, along with many others, miss him dearly.”
Anyone wishing to help can write a check out to the not-for-profit foundation, Ramapo College Foundation. It must be noted on the check that the contribution is for the ‘Frechette Scholarship Fund. All contributions can be mailed to: Ramapo College Foundation,505 Ramapo Valley Road,Mahwah,New Jersey07430. Questions can be directed to Cathy Davey, Ramapo College Foundation, 201-684-7615.
