Why Eric Scott Keeps Dropping Father’s Day Hints About Ristorante LUCCA

I've been throwing some strong hints to my sons that I want to go to Ristorante LUCCA for Father's Day. My wife, Sandra, and I have been several times, and we both still enjoy the depth and variety of their menus and the exquisite execution of Italian fine dining.

If you haven't been to Ristorante LUCCA before, their traditional Italian Sunday dinner and their Chef's Selections Menu are particularly great values.

The traditional Italian Sunday dinner is served family-style each Sunday from 3-9 p.m., with live piano music starting at 5 p.m. The cost is $49 per person, while children 10 and younger cost $19, excluding beverages and alcohol. The meal includes generous portions of:

• Garden salad and bread
• Meat and cheese board
• Spaghetti or rigatoni with ragu
• Meatballs, Italian sausages, and braciole
• Dessert: Tiramisu, mini cannolis, and ice cream

The normal à la carte menu is also available on Sundays. 

The Chef's Selections Menu is $69 per person Tuesdays through Fridays. It's a four-course meal with a few options for starters, the main course, and dessert, while the pasta course has a set pairing of gnocchi pomodoro and ravioli ai porcini (both handcrafted). Sandra often gets the pan-seared halibut (Halibut Livornese), and I love the veal (Saltimbocca alla Romana). Their handmade pasta is some of the best I've ever had, and while I am notoriously particular about seafood, I highly recommend all their seafood dishes. I'm hesitant to order seafood at many restaurants, but I've been in their kitchen and seen them prepare their seafood. They even let me prepare their seafood myself. It's excellent, and their commitment to quality and excellent flavors is second to none.
