Delays at Area Airports Due to High Winds

Windy weather in the northeast U.S. is causing some delays at several airports.

The Federal Aviation Administration was reporting late Friday afternoon that flights bound for Newark International Airport, in New Jersey, and LaGuardia Airport in New York City were experiencing delays averaging about 80 and 90 minutes.

Flights headed for Philadelphia International Airport and Boston's Logan Airport were experiencing delays of around 30 and 40 minutes.

Delay times change constantly, and aviation officials suggest that people check with their airline for updates.
