After a 12-hour search for a missing man whose canoe capsized in a Morris County Lake, rescue crews have suspended their search and will resume Monday morning, NJ.com reported.

Dive teams halted the search for the evening Sunday, due to safety concerns. The search included more than 30 first responders from local, state and county agencies as well as 15 divers.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Rockaway Township police were dispatched to the lake at about 3 a.m. after multiple 911 calls about the canoe. One adult male was recovered and transported to St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, and was later released.

Authorities are still looking for the second adult male. The prosecutor’s office said it was not releasing the names of the individuals, and that there was no indication of any threat to the community.

White Meadow Lake is a section of Rockaway in Morris County. The lake of the same name, with marinas, a beach and country club, is owned and maintained by the White Meadow Lake Property Owners Association and Country Club, according to the association website.
