Christie’s pregnant pig pickle

Gov. Chris Christie is facing a very tricky decision.

The Legislature has passed a bill banning so-called gestation crates for pregnant pigs, which is widely accepted in the farming industry.

However, animal rights activists want the practice banned.

If Christie were to sign the bill, the impact in New Jersey would be minor.

But, he risks angering farmers in Iowa, which is a key primary state that would be critical to him, should he decide to run for president.

Danny Devito, a Jersey native and animal rights activist, is calling on the governor to sign the measure.
