A two-year old child is in critical condition at Cooper Hospital after a hit-and-run this weekend, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. The driver has not been caught or identified.

The incident was reported Sunday afternoon on the 400 block of N. 27th Street in Camden. The child wandered outside of a barber shop while his father was getting a haircut. When the father rushed outside, he found a crowd already gathered.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a tan-colored Buick Park Avenue with damage to the right passenger door. The driver, a Hispanic man with a light beard, initially stopped before speeding away.

Anyone with information relating to the incident is being asked to contact the Camden Police Department at (856) 757-7420 or ccpotips@cprosecutor.org.
