What a difference a month makes. My hair is slowly coming back after chemotherapy. So much so that my son tells me the diameter of my bald spot has actually shrunk! Maybe there's an upside to cancer after all?

When I first returned to the air after my recovery, we took calls from people who have been through chemo or know someone who's been through chemo. While hair loss was a very common side effect, most listeners who called in said the hair grew back different than before. Sometimes with a different texture, or a different color completely. The body works in mysterious ways!
