Being hungover at work costs the US a lot of money
Drinking on a night before work the next day can affect more pockets than your own. Being hungover at work costs this country $77 billion a year according to the Centers for Disease Control. The total impact for excessive drinking tops $224 billion. The hungover portion just takes diminished productivity into account. The $224 billion takes healthcare costs, deaths, car crashes, and crime and has outpaced inflation since 2006.
