Just as the harvest season winds down, the inaugural After the Harvest Wine & Food event presented by Provident Bank has been launched. The Garden State Wine Growers Association member wineries, the Culinary Arts Institute and Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development has teamed up for this new fall event. Enjoy wine sampling from at least six New Jersey wineries is featured; tastings, culinary pairings, wine tutorials and live music from 1 - 6 p.m. Each ticket is $25 and entitles you to a wristband and a FREE wine glass, which you will pick up on the day of the event (proper ID required). There is also a non-drinker ticket priced at $10.

This year the Halloween Parade will begin lining up at 4:30 pm at Hamilton Stage followed by the costume parade departing from Hamilton Stage at 5 pm toward RSI Bank. After the costume parade, at 5:30 pm Trunk or Treat will begin on Irving St. at the corner of Cherry St. and head toward Milton Ave. Participants are asked to bring their cars, decorate them in grand Halloween style and pop the trunk. As the parade arrives, children in costume will trunk-or-treat from car to car. Local businesses are welcome and encouraged to participate in this free, fun community event.
