CAPE MAY COUNTY


Children will be given a “Pastport” at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool or churning butter. Other family-friendly activities include games and live entertainment from traditional local musician Mary Roth. The Penns Woods Puppet Players will present a puppet show at 11am, 1:30pm and 3pm. GLOUCESTER COUNTY


The public is invited to the Gloucester County 4-H Fair to celebrate the accomplishments of 4-H youth who have worked throughout the year on a wide variety of educational programs. Visitors can watch our equestrians lead their horses in exercises in precision, place an auction bid on a hog, lamb, or beef raised by a 4-Her, watch the judging of our rabbit or goat shows, learn all about cows from dairy and beef club members, cheer for their favorite dog in the obedience class, learn how to raise a pet bird from members of the exotic bird club, slither around to the reptile club exhibit, and enjoy the various animal costume contests. In addition to the displays and shows of 4-H projects, visitors can look forward to a day on the farm and petting zoo, animal shows, pony rides, live music, K-9 demonstrations, and craft vendors --- lots for the whole family to do!

It's the Summer of Mars at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and to celebrate, its huge Mars rover concept vehicle will visit LSC as part of a limited tour. Taste and Tour: Rutgers Jersey Fresh Varieties: Spend the afternoon in the Gardens tasting and touring some of the different varieties of vegetables, herbs and plants that have been developed at Rutgers University where plant breeding has taken place since the early 1900s. There will be food vendors, including River Horse Brewery featuring their craft beer "Farmers Daughter" brewed from the Rutgers Scarlet Strawberry. Visit Morristown National Historical Park for this special presentation given by Dr. Jude Pfister, the curator of collections at the park. While the park displays and interprets the events of two local winter encampments by the Continental Army, its archives span the years 15,000 B.C. to the 20th century and include 500,000 objects, many of which never have, and never will be, on display to the public. The 2017 version of this program will feature many items in the collection that directly relate to Alexander and Eliza Hamilton (their sofa, a lock of her hair etc.) The presentation takes place at 10 am inside the Washington Headquarters Museum and will last about an hour. Cost is $15per person.

ZTrek 2017 is a fully-supported charity bike ride offering 45, 65 and 100 mile routes starting and ending in Somerset, NJ. The ride meanders through miles of beautiful NJ countryside, including the Round Valley Reservoir Recreation Area and Sourland Mountain Preserve. Registration includes a fully-supported ride with up to 5 rest stops on the course, support vehicles and mechanical assistance as well as a t-shirt, finisher's medal and a finish line lunch and festival. For children 10 and under the event offers a kids' bike handling skills rodeo, kids' races and other activities.

This year our annual Wine & Wings Festival will be a TWO DAY FESTIVAL!! Cava Winery will host the festival from 1 - 6 pm. The ticket price includes a Cava Logo wine glass, wine samplings from all 3 wineries: Cava Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, and Villari Vineyards, and live entertainment. WARREN COUNTY


This year the Warren County Farmers' Fair is celebrating its 80th year! A family fun event that also features a Hot Air Balloon Festival with up to 35 balloons. Explore the Traditional Arts Building featuring demonstrations of quilting, lacemaking and more. Other highlights include 4-H and FFA exhibits and contest. Main arena events include demolition derbies, mud bogs and tractor/truck pulls (some additional charges apply). Tickets go onside for the Main Arena events on March 15. The balloon festival features mass hot air balloon launches, tethered balloon rides, hare and hound races and the unique Bicycle Balloon Race, where pilots and cyclists pair up in a race of skill and speed. The Kids' Corral is a fun and magical place where children can play, learn and even enter some contests. Best of all, activities at the Kids' Corral are free of charge to fairgoers.
