1 Dead After Small Plane Crashes Near AC
Officials say one person is dead after a small plane crashed near Atlantic City.
Police and emergency management officials say one person died when the single-engine plane crashed around 8:30 p.m. in Hamilton Township near Paddock Street according to NBC 40, which reports thick brush and the dense population of the neighborhood made it hard for rescue crews to reach the plane.
The Press of Atlantic CIty reports two people were able to walk away from the plane, a Navicon G, on their own.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane was on approach to Atlantic City International Airport, hen the pilot reported engine trouble.
The conditions of three other people on board were not immediately available.
