This weekend, I ripped open a brand new sealed package of Muenster cheese slices for my son, who has grown to refer to them as Monster cheese. Brand new package mind you. Just opened. I pull out a slice and find a human hair clinging to it.

See the picture which I submit as exhibit A.

What do you do in a case like this? Do you get disgusted and look for your receipt and drive back to the store and complain to a manager and demand compensation? Or contact the company itself, which my son probably thinks in Monsters, Inc.? Or do you do what I did? Throw out that slice and the slice behind it and start with slice number 3, realizing that human beings work in factories and that no human or even the machines they work on are flawless 100% of the time.

I was in a bar one night drinking a bottle of beer when I felt a small piece of sharp glass on my tongue. Luckily I didn't swallow it. On inspection I saw it had come off the rim of the bottle. Again, these things happen. I'm not one to jump to calling over a manager unless the mistake would be outrageous and totally reckless. I also feel like the restaurant is only going to jump to the conclusion that I planted something in the food trying to extort money from the company, because there have been proven cases like that.

What have you found in your food and what did you do about it? Take our poll and share your thoughts in the comment section below.
