We'll be honest — we didn't know exactly what to expect when we rolled out the NJ1015.com mobile app just under a week ago.

We'd been testing it and tweaking it in-house for some time. We knew we liked streaming New Jersey 101.5, watching our hosts' videos and reading the latest news. We knew the instant alerts for traffic, weather, news and even posts from our hosts would be handy. And as we tested, we started dreaming up all sorts of features for the next version.

But would you like it as much as we did? That was a question we couldn't answer until the NJ1015.com app was out in the wild.

So early in the morning Nov. 11, we crossed our fingers, decided all systems were a go —  and released the app to the Apple and Google Play app stores. We announced it on-air. And we waited.

But not for long. Reviews started coming in fast — and we were elated. Wow.

As of this writing, the New Jersey 101.5 mobile app is rated 4.8 out of 5 stars on the Google Play store. Not enough reviews are in place yet to give it an official rating on the Apple store, but all but one review has included a 5-star rating (and that last one is a 4; not too shabby).

We've gotten some questions back over the last few weeks, too.

Is RadioPup obsolete, now that you can stream right from the New Jersey 101.5 app? Nope — RadioPup is still a great way to listen to radio stations from across the Townsquare Media network. But if you're mostly interested in New Jersey 101.5, our new mobile app may be a better choice for you — in addition to our live stream, you'll get news, weather, traffic, insights from our hosts and videos all about New Jersey,

If I get text alerts already, do I need your app for breaking news, traffic and weather? The app's an even better option for breaking news than the text alerts. You can pick whether you want traffic alerts for the whole state or just a section. You can turn on and off alerts for news, traffic and weather whenever you feel like it. Love one of our shows? Turn on alerts for that program to get plugged into everything your favorite host is doing. And we've got more improvements to that system coming down the line.

Does it work on tablets? It does! For Apple iPads, you will have to search the App Store's "iPhone only" section for now. We're working on an optimized version for tablets, too. The app should work as-is on most Android tablets right away.

How about a sleep timer? More customization options? Great ideas! We're taking your feedback and sending it to our developers, who are already hard at work on our next release. You can send feedback right from within the app via your phone.

What's with that British lady on your promos? She's really nice. For every 1,000 app downloads, we make her some tea and scones (not really).

So what are people saying? Here's some of the feedback so far:

"I absolutely love the new radio app. Now I can listen to NJ 101.5 24 hours a day now. I live in Kingston, NY" — George

"I just want to say I started using the app and I love it. Keep up the good work."
— Alyse Simon

"What a well-done app. Much appreciated. Listen both morning and evening drive time." — Dennis Kildea

Not a bad start!
