One New Jersey woman proves that if a picture is worth a thousand words, a year's worth of images speaks volumes.

28-year-old Emily Helck was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer last year. She documented her battle with Breast Cancer by taking a picture of herself weekly as she underwent treatment. The images were honest--Helck photographed herself exactly as she felt at that moment. You can clearly see the marks of treatment and surgeries in some of the shots. The pictures range from when she started chemotherapy in September of 2012, to her last treatment on September 29th 2013.

This video is very powerful, to say the least. Watching Helck's journey through this sickness brings about every emotion from sadness to hope. It is extremely brave for her to document these difficult times and share them for the world to see. As we observe Breast Cancer awareness month this October, take one minute of your day to watch this woman's year long journey back to health.
