Truck spills glass on New Jersey Turnpike
All lanes are reopened after a tractor trailer spilled a load of glass on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike, closing down several lanes.
New Jersey Fast Traffic reports the truck overturned in the truck lanes near #12 in Carteret around 11 a.m. causing multi-mile delays.
All lanes were closed for a time and then just two lanes got by as the shattered glass across three of four lanes was clearned up according to a tweet from the Turnpike.
The incident has also caused delays for New Jersey Transit buses traveling through the area; they are running normally again. The car lanes are open, but had rubbernecking delays of several miles.
No injuries have been reported from the accident; there is no word on any charges filed.
