HAMILTON — It took less than a day for the Hamilton Police Department in Mercer County to identify the suspect in Tuesday's robbery at the TD Bank on Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road and bring him into custody with a confession.

The suspect was identified as Paul R. Finer, 38, of Trenton. Although police were initially unsure of his location, a tip directed them to Trenton and he was arrested by Sgt. Joseph Wilk and Det. Leonard Gadsby without any incident.

Finer confessed to going to the bank at around 5 p.m. on Tuesday night and handing a note to the teller informing her of his intentions. After confessing, Finer was charged with robbery and taken to the Mercer County Detention Center.
