November 28th, 1992 – Whitney Houston starts a record-breaking 14 week run at No.1 on the singles chart with ‘I Will Always Love You’, from the ‘Bodyguard’ soundtrack. The song was written by Dolly Parton.

November 29th, 1965 - Colorado Governor John A. Love declares a Rolling Stones day throughout the State as The Stones appeared at The Denver Coliseum in Colorado during their North American tour.

December 1st, 1964The Who plays the first of their 22 consecutive Tuesday night gigs at The Marquee Club in London. The Marquee Club was a springboard for many important British bands in the 60′s. Acts such as Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Cream, Manfred Mann, Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, King Crimson and many others, all appeared at the club.

December 2nd, 1969Cindy Birdsong of the Supremes was kidnapped at knife-point by a man who worked maintenance in the building she lived in. She later escaped unharmed by jumping out of his car on a freeway in San Diego. The kidnapper was arrested later in Las Vegas.

December 3rd, 1968 – NBC airs the famed Elvis Presley comeback special. After years of making bad movies, Presley proves he can still shake his hips and rock by improvising a set with his old rhythm section in a boxing ring. He brought the house down with the debut of “If I Can Dream.”

December 4th, 1980 - Prince plays the first night of his 31 day ‘Dirty Mind’ tour at Shea’s in Buffalo, New York. After being told by his managers he couldn’t wear spandex pants without any underwear, Prince began performing in a long trench coat, black high heeled boots and leggings, oh, and bikini brief trunks.

December 5th, 1965 - The Beatles play their last show ever. It’s in their hometown of Liverpool as they appear at The Liverpool Empire during their final tour. Just 5,100 tickets were made available, but 40,000 fans had applied to get entry to the show.
