A special education teacher at a small elementary school in Burlington County has been charged for allegedly sexually touching seven students over several years.
Officials said the incidents came to light in September when a Chatsworth Elementary School student came forward about being touched by Vincent Root, 58, of Philadelphia on previous occasions.
Denise Smith, 51, who suffers from dementia, was last seen at her home on Route 563 in the Chatsworth section of Woodland during the overnight hours of Monday around 1:15 a.m.
Smoke was seen and smelled as far north as Union County, as the flames burn in Burlington. No homes were in danger, as of Sunday morning according to NJ DEP.
