The Nielsen company reported 4.34 million watched the pageant on Sunday night, compared to 5.35 million last year. Ratings have dropped consistently over the past few years.
With the removal of the swimsuit and evening gown competitions this year's pageant has been dubbed "Miss America 2.0" and not everyone is happy about it.
