An 18-year-old Trenton man found shot to death is the son of a former New Jersey police officer who appeared on a reality television show.

Family members tell the Times of Trenton that 18-year-old James Austin is the son of former Trenton police Sgt. Luddie Austin, who appeared on the A&E reality show Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force.

Police tells the newspaper that James Austin was shot to death Tuesday during an apparent personal dispute. Police have not made any arrests.

Family members say James was one of Luddie Austin's eight children.

Luddie Austin is an Iraq War veteran who retired in 2011 as a sergeant with the Trenton Police Department.

His work with a regional fugitive task force was featured on the cable television show.
