It looks like reality show stars Snooki and J-Woww will have to Gym, Tan and Laundry in another town. Point Pleasant Beach has said a big fat NO to a request for a filming permit.

The spin-off show to the MTV mega-hit Jersey Shore has already been turned down in other communities in the Garden State including Hoboken, Morristown and Toms River. The show's first season is currently airing Thursday night's and was filmed earlier this year in Jersey City. That town didn't seem to have a problem with it. What's the issue with Point Beach?

Mayor Vincent Barrella applauds the council for making the unanimous decision to refuse the permits. While both shows have been cash cow's for the network and put New Jersey on the map, Mayor Barrella has strong opinions about the show and the cast.

He says, "This is not a good thing for New Jersey by any stretch. It helped bring in some extra people to Seaside Heights but as we've seen in the past few years, there have been more and more problems there. We don't need those unnecessary headaches. We also feel that the representation of New Jersey on the show isn't shown in a positive light. It's a very one-dimensional almost cartoon-like portrayal."

Point Pleasant Beach is currently working to project a family friendly image in the shore town and they're concerned the show would attract problems and tarnish that image.

Councilman William Mayer told another news outlet that "it's not what the town needs at this point." Everyone seems to be in agreement, at least officials at town hall.

Seaside Heights, the location made popular on Jersey Shore, has opened their doors again to the producers saying "they are welcome to come here and shoot anytime they want." So far, the production company hasn't contacted them.

Calls to 495 Productions for a comment went unreturned. We even tried to reach out to Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi herself but her agents have ignored our request for an interview.
