Search For Person In Delaware River Suspended

The Coast Guard has suspended a search of the Delaware River after receiving two conflicting unconfirmed reports of a person in the water.

The first report was that an 18-year-old male had fallen into the water when a pier collapsed in Paulsboro Monday evening. The second report was that the person went overboard after a boat had collided with the pier.

Two Coast Guard boats and a helicopter joined in the search, but failed to find anyone. WPVI reports that the report has been determined to be "unsubstantiated."
