The Monday morning commute got off to a rough start in South Jersey with a closure on Route 295.

New Jersey State Police said a two-car accident around 4:30 a.m. on the southbound side in West Deptford had the roadway completely closed between exit No. 21 for Route 644 and No. 20 for Woodbury, with all traffic being forced off at Exit No. 22 onto Crown Point Road. The roadway remained closed as of 6 a.m.

The left lane of the northbound side of the roadway remained shut down as well as of 6 a.m.

Update: State Police said around 7:30 a.m. that all lanes had reopened in both directions.

A Toyota driving northbound in southbound lane hit a  pickup truck, which overturned and caught fire, State Police said. There were no life-threatening injuries.

Neither driver was identified by police. No one has yet been charged.
