A year after new owners took over Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, they still haven't made a profit.

They have, however, been sued four times, picketed a dozen times, lost $16 million, put up a billboard with a naked rear end on it, staged a naked circus, and opened the city's first gay casino nightclub.

It's been an eventful first year for Dennis Gomes and Morris Bailey, who predict the casino will at least break even next year.

They took it over last December when it was days away from running out of money and closing. They saved the jobs of 2,000 workers, but made most take steep pay cuts.

The casino workers union vows to try to get Resorts workers back to their old pay rates.
