I can't even believe we are talking about the holiday season already.

And as much as it can be a fun time of year for most, it can be pretty overwhelming for others.

So that is why the Ocean County Mall has scheduled a Caring Santa event amid its busy Santa Appearance Schedule.

On Sunday, Nov. 17 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., there will be a private viewing set up for kids with disabilities and/or special needs to meet the big guy in red.

According to the mall's owner, Simon, it "will make the necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs (for) children of all abilities for this special event."

Because this event takes place while the mall is closed, you do have to register in advance. It is completely free but the staff needs to know what kind of crowd to expect so this event goes on without a hitch.

The closest mall entrance to the Caring Santa event is the Center Court Main Entrance.

If you have any questions, you can visit the Mall's website or give a call to 732-244-8201.
