NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

North is a young playful cat. She's still is a kitten at heart, and she will entertain you with her silly antics. But North is not all play - she also enjoys settling down to cuddle up and be petted. North is looking for a loving family to call her own. She is spayed, vaccinated, and FIV and FeLV negative. All she needs is you!

If you're interested in meeting North or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Tank

Tank’s a sweet and friendly dog with a beautiful and soft coat. He’s well behaved in the car and housebroken. Tank enjoys walks, especially when there’s a lot of new scents for him to smell. He knows some commands. Tank enjoys lying in the grass and soaking in the sun. He can be stubborn at times, so a firm hand will be necessary at times. He can also be dog-reactive toward some dogs.

If you’re interested in learning more about Tank or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Bailey

Bailey is a young Pit Bull terrier mix that loves to play. If you are looking for a live-in playmate, there's no need to look any further because Bailey is your guy. He has cute little eyes that seem to say "please take me home because I'll be a very good boy." Needless to say, one look into his eyes and you will melt like butter. This little fella is currently learning to walk on a leash and some basic commands. He is very friendly, happy and sociable with everyone he meets. Bailey loves lots and lots of attention. You will notice him right away by his shiny gray and white coat that shimmers when the sun hits it and continues to shimmer even when it is cloudy.  Bailey is sure to brighten your day in any kind of weather. He will do best in a loving home that is puppy proof with a family or individual with the patience a puppy requires. He will need some training with positive reinforcement, lots of play, chew toys, fetch toys, long walks, consistent house training encouragement and creative mental stimulation. A formal training class would be a great start. We prefer if someone were home during the day because puppies need frequent potty breaks to be house-trained properly. A fenced-in yard is preferred.

If you're interested in meeting Bailey or fostering/adopting him, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
