The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has fined DuPont $750,000 Protection for violations of safety and environmental standards at a facility just across the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Broadcast reports indicate that the more than 60 violations involve hazardous substances being improperly handled and discharged at its Chambers Works facility in Salem County.

DuPont must also submit a plan to upgrade chemical handling procedures at the facility.
